Ten Commandments for Parents
  1. You shall teach your children to honor their earthly parents by honoring your heavenly Father (cf. John 8:29).
  2. You shall guide them by godly example (1 Corinthians 11:1).
  3. You shall give them proper spiritual instruction (Deuteronomy 6:6-9).
  4. You shall not ridicule them, but build them up (Colossians 3:21).
  5. You shall give them time and attention (cf. Matthew 19:14).
  6. You shall keep what you promise to them (Matthew 5:37).
  7. You shall not refuse to discipline them (Proverbs 19:18).
  8. You shall have reasonable expectations for them (cf. 1 Corinthians 10:13).
  9. You shall communicate with them with kind words and actions (1 Corinthians 13:5).
  10. You shall teach them not to steal, but to work for their needs and the needy (Ephesians 4:28).
